Energy Leadership Index Assessment
As a COR.E Performance Dynamics Specialist focusing on hockey, I believe it’s crucial to recognize that the key to elevating your game lies in understanding how your thoughts, emotions, and actions interconnect. The roles you take on—whether as a forward, defenseman, or goalie—are not who you are, but rather what do as you perform on the ice.
Your effectiveness in these roles is influenced by how well you manage physical tension, mental anxiety, and your engagement level during games and practices.
The Energy Index Assessment, for hockey players, involves an online 84-question survey that goes beyond traditional personality tests. It evaluates your general attitude towards life and hockey. This assessment is complemented by a 90-minute online Zoom debrief where a detailed report of your results is discussed.
Awareness and understanding is essential for change. -Anthony de Melo
During the debrief, you’ll explore the seven levels of energy that shape your consciousness, awareness, and engagement in hockey and in life. You’ll identify potential energy blocks and understand how stress reactions may be hindering your performance and confidence during critical moments in a game.
By the end of the debrief session, you’ll gain a profound understanding of what it means to be “in the zone”—a state of flow crucial for peak performance on the ice. Moreover, the debrief will provide insights into how your thought processes or life situations contribute to stress reactions, impacting your game.
Ultimately, you’ll leave with a clear, understanding of how having an effective success formula (plan) designed to harness your inherent capabilities, increase awareness, and confidence. This enables you to become the most effective hockey player and person possible.
Tommy Budnick 2023/2024 Season Debrief
At first glance, Tommy seemed both sure of himself and humble. He was eager to show off his hockey skills on the ice. His open mindset and ability to set a good example made him stand out and motivate others to work harder.
I learned more about Tommy’s true self and his desire to be the best version of himself as the season went on. He took it in stride when he was traded for three players and kept playing his tough, stay-at-home defense as best he could. Tommy shows what can happen when you have an open mind, want to do well, and are ready to execute, both on and off the ice.
